I am Tomás Zenóglio de Oliveira, a Mechanical Engineering student at Universidade Atlântica in Lisbon.

My principal interests lie in mechanical vibrations, fluid mechanics and computational analysis. I am particularly interested in the connection between theoretical models and real engineering systems: how physical behaviour can be measured, interpreted and communicated clearly.

My work combines analytical reasoning, numerical methods, experimentation and technical communication. I am most drawn to projects that cross conventional boundaries between engineering disciplines.

Current direction

I am developing a research project on estimating internal fluid flow from vibration signals measured externally on a pipe. The work brings together structural dynamics, fluid mechanics, signal processing and experimental design.
